Rose & Crown Antiques
Rose and Crown is a neighbor to SWS who specializes in Antiques and Oddities and SWS uses some of this stores artifacts for picture taking.
Now I have to add the disclaimer here…
This store is not the ordinary antique store. These antiques have back stories that are unique and downright spooky in some sense. Want a prayer stand that has a dark history and tends to open on its own, or perhaps a set of lamps that were said to be used to prophecy by a healer or maybe one made from bones and shells.
Ferel Affairs Network
Feral Affairs Network (FAN) is a team of feline champions working to create a community that supports and cares for their feral cat populations in the Hampton Roads region of Southeastern Virginia. They trap, neuter and return (TNR) feral cats to their home communities and have an adoption program. They also provide and and aide in training cats for use at farms, warehouses and local shipyards.
My review: These folks are amazing. I bought my first house which came with an array of feral cats wondering around my house. At one point I counted over 13 cats including kittens. these folks aided in trapping, fixing and releasing or adopting them out. They were easy to get a hold of and quick to respond to emails, phone calls and text. The ferals in the neighborhood are now fixed AND they even helped me in rehoming a pet after a homeowner had to let it go. They take donations but don’t deliver expectations of donations in order to help a person. When I didn’t have monetary donation, I donated carriers, traps that I used and other stuff when I could. They appreciate everything. A truly amazing group.
