Chesapeake Bay Shocked/Impact Quartz *SUPER RARE*
Truly rare, Shocked/Impact Lodolite quartz from Surry County, Virginia. Sometimes referred to as “garden quartz” these pieces have Amethyst, Citrine, Rose, and Prism Quartz, Papagoite, Ajoite, Nano diamonds, and many other minerals inside them along with some unusual micro-organic material and/or organisms. These pieces were ‘shocked’(impacted) by meteorite. Shock/Impact causes a change in growth patterns, conductivity and overall anatomy and then continue to grow in a mutated state. We are still trying to determine if these pieces were shocked due to Chesapeake Bay meteorite or volcanic pressure. These are strong stones with a lot of energy. Different lighting brings out different hues due to the variety of minerals in these specimens.
This piece is very interesting. There is visible green mini gemstones, some of which appear to have a look as if they melted and then cooled as they reflowed. There are tiny milky white bubbles trapped in the Quartz and Amicite that covers Ajoite. It gives the appearance of scales on one side of this piece while the other side is frosty feeling with brilliant flashing from prism included quartz but with a light metallic hue to it. Different parts of this stone flash different colors Rose and Grey colored hues are prominent. Silvery muscovite chips trapped in a ‘floating’ state and impact bubbles can be visibly seen in various areas.
