Amygdaloidal, Amygdule
Amygdaloidal basalt is a volcanic rock that formed over millions of years during the Tertiary period. They are part of the Antrim lava group and exhibit a dark colouration with occurrences of amygdales containing quartz, Marcasite and Apophyllite crystals. Collected during my trip to Washington/Oregon . This is one where pictures don’t do it justice.
Origin: Washington/Oregon
