Amygdaloidal basalt is a volcanic rock that formed over millions of years during the Tertiary period. This specimen exhibits a dark red colouration with occurrences of amygdales containing Quartz variations, zeolites and Apophyllite crystals. Collected during my trip to Washington/Oregon .
