Chesapeake Bay Shocked/Impact Quartz *SUPER RARE*
Truly rare, Shocked/Impact Lodolite quartz from Surry County, Virginia. Sometimes referred to as “garden quartz” these pieces have Amethyst, Citrine, Rose, and Prism Quartz, Papagoite, Ajoite, Nano diamonds, and many other minerals inside them along with some unusual micro-organic material and/or organisms. These pieces were ‘shocked’(impacted) by meteorite. Shock/Impact causes a change in growth patterns, conductivity and overall anatomy and then continue to grow in a mutated state. We are still trying to determine if these pieces were shocked due to Chesapeake Bay meteorite or volcanic pressure. These are strong stones with a lot of energy. Different lighting brings out different hues due to the variety of minerals in these specimens.
This piece has very fine and beautiful green, blueish green and silver colored Muscovite. This piece has more visible Hemusite and heavy imbedding of what appears to be volcanic material. Djuerite cubes can be seen sprinkled here and there on the surface and a cloudy quartz and Papagoite point showing impact bubbles, pitting and inclusions sits on top at near center of this piece while clusters of Ajoite can be seen throughout. The sides are frosty and imbedded with frozen in time flakes of silvery muscovite and micro inclusions. The frosty sides will show their patterns when flashed in lighting and metallic iridescence due to the Bornite inclusion.
Length: 4
Width/Depth: 1.75
Height: 2.2
Be Advised: All of the pieces in this category are final sales (no returns) as they are serious collector pieces. All pieces sold will be shipped with a packet of the research data and analysis conducted for this collection.
