Chesapeake Bay Shocked/Impact Quartz Pendant *SUPER RARE*
Truly rare, Shocked/Impact Lodolite quartz from Surry County, Virginia. Sometimes referred to as “garden quartz” these pieces have Amethyst, Citrine, Rose, and Prism Quartz, Papagoite, Ajoite, Nano diamonds, and many other minerals inside them along with some unusual micro-organic material and/or organisms. These pieces were ‘shocked’(impacted) by meteorite. Shock/Impact causes a change in growth patterns, conductivity and overall anatomy and then continue to grow in a mutated state. We are still trying to determine if these pieces were shocked due to Chesapeake Bay meteorite or volcanic pressure. These are strong stones with a lot of energy. Different lighting brings out different hues due to the variety of minerals in these specimens.
Each pendant is handcrafted from pieces of larger clusters that broke off and pieces found at the dig site. Each is unique and one of a kind. This piece shows minor Papagoite on the outer layer of one corner and has more of a clear and citrine coloration in LED lighting and a more pink and cloudy color in shaded sunlight. There are bubbles, inclusions, and Ajoite remnants floating within. Wrapped in yellow brass on a 304 stainless steel chain.
Pendant Dimensions (inches)
Width: 1.10

Be Advised: All pieces in the Meteorite Impact Lodolite Quartz category are final sales (no returns) as they are serious collector pieces.
